Too busy dancing..
I sort of fell of the blogging wagon in February! I was doing so well, but my busy schedule got the best of me. February was full of 6 day work weeks, helping friends move, a surprise short visit from a friend, and joining a pseudo dance company.
To recap, I have been working a lot which is great for money, but a little hard on the soul. I am trying to wrap up my work for Cascadia Wild and hopefully be moving on from them soon.
I helped my friend, Maddy, move and now her and her boyfriend Jon live only 3 blocks away from me. Joyous news!
My best friend Ashlie and her boyfriend, Corey, were able to come visit for one night only on their way to Seattle from SF. It was an extremely short visit, but I am so glad they were able to come at all. I will be visiting them in the beginning of May and I am so excited.
Also, I was asked to be a part of a dance group that has a couple upcoming performances and my weeks have been even more filled with dance now that I have rehearsals every Friday night. Our first performance is in the beginning of April at a gay dance club in NW Portland for their hip hop night. It should be thoroughly entertaining. The main performance that we have been rehearsing for is in the middle of April. We will be guest showcasing a couple a pieces during a different dance company's performance. This will be the first time I have done anything like this in about 10 years. I am extremely nervous, but also totally ecstatic to be included.
On a side note, I just received an email from the dance studio that I go to, Vega Dance+Lab, and they have started a sort of Student of the Month type deal and I'm the first pick! They sent me an email asking if I would accept the honor and said all of these lovely things about my energy in class and how everyone loves having me there. I am usually so quiet in class and it has taken me over a year of going there to even start being myself and I am so thrilled that they had such a great feedback for me. I love going there and I am just so happy that the feeling is mutual.
Anyways, that is my February recap. I have been lusting after so many pretty things that I will need to do a post soon about all of them!
